I think a team like Vegas is more desperate to get Guentzel don’t see us getting in that bidding war

I honestly don't really see Pittsburgh trading him. I think they're going to hold onto him as a centerpiece for the post-Crosby/Malkin era.

Gotta assume EP was our big push this deadline and with it falling through, we'll make a minor move at the deadline instead to try and make another big push at the draft.

I’m good. The bottom line though is we can trade for any of the players I listed without giving up a starter if we could swing such a deal. In other words we are not hindered by the cap at this moment

I agree. There’s enough quality top 9 forwards available we should be able to get someone to provide some extra goal scoring

In 2 of 5 seasons since this management team took over, the Canes got impact players mid season.

Nino (before the deadline)
Skjei and Trocheck (along with Vatanen) at the deadline.

The 3 other seasons, not so much.

Definitely should seeing as the 3 out of the 4 lines have basically been juggled every other game it seems like. Need to find someone to either pair with necas or on the aho Svech line imo

I agree with them. JR doesn't want to trade EP40, but he was willing to if push came to shove.

Just like Aho didn't want to play for MTL, but he was willing to if push came to shove.

They are using the negotiating tools at their disposal.

I'm expecting us to pull something unexpected. Soon. Maybe not at the TDL, but probably before FA opens in the offseason.

It appears we were the aggressors on EP and contacted Vancouver on him after identifying the opportunity. I doubt if we're doing that, we didn't have targets #2, #3, and maybe #4 in mind.

yeah i saw , we better not , i feel Necas alone is enough , remember whoever we get will see his production reduced in our system of play , Waddel should have gotten Kessels . he was free. the only one that makes sense to me is Tarasenko , he wouldnt cost much , 1st round? Nadeau? too late for Suzuki , we waited to long , hes worth nothing now
