Unfortunately I have some family experience with brain tumors. When it was reported that Amirov underwent radiation treatment rather than surgery, I thought his time was probably limited.

This really sucks.

I was optimistic he was recovering, he looked to be doing fine when he was with the team last season. He was smiling and happy, it's crazy how quickly things can change.

Tried to keep positive, but having been affected by brain cancer to a couple people surrounding me, I knew the outcome was unlikely to be such.

Far far far too young. Fought with such determination at such a young age. It's not how things should be.

Wishing the utmost strength to his family and all those that surrounded him.
