Happy to have Malone back, hopefully he can stay healthy this year. He had a pretty bad season last year.

Tails says he and Krueger have met but they haven't ironed out system changes yet per yesterday's press scrum at the Dev Camp.

Great to see him coming back.

I really like the AHL contract option. Good mid-6 scorer for the Amerks who can give them a bit of veteran consistency. They got MacWilliam back on defense for PK and shutdown use as well as the surprisingly good Kurt Gosselin. I do like what they get done at times down there. Now fix the goaltending. :D

Guhle liked the post on Instagram. He tends to like a lot of Amerks posts, for what that's worth.

He's got to have a lot of friends on the team.

I’m curious to see how much Gosselin can build on the end of last year. He was a smooth skater and pretty effective.

What forwards do they already have for next year?

Porter, Asplund, Leier, Elie, Malone, Oglevie. Fairly safe to assume these guys won't be on the Sabres opening night but safe bets to be in Rochester in some kind of role.

Anyone else? Maybe one or two more of the kids start there (Nylander, Tage, Smith). Or a couple Sabres depth guys get waived. Maybe some ECHLers ready to make the jump?

Still seems like there will need to be a quite a few more additions still to that group though, not just 1 or 2.

Looks like there is already lots of competition on D however.

Yeah, they need a lot of work, likely the talk is of 1 or 2 pieces on NHL deals as 14/15 guys for the big club.

You got em all barring a Nylander or Tage start in Rochester (CJ won't get waived) or maybe Pekar makes the jump but that's unlikely.. Curtis Lazar could be added to that list if he does sign here. The rest should be filled out in free agency.
