Will Schremp make the Oilers this season and if so what kind of points does he put up in 2005-2006 and in the future? I know he is talented but can he play in the NHL and make a impact?
I agree with this. He'll be an NHL player soon, but this year. Maybe not even the next.SerbianEagle said:He'll play in the NHL, but not next year.
I completely agree with you, but if he is only looking at 8-10 mins a game, I think he would be much better off in a leadership role on the Knights for one more year. Until he does make the jump to the bigs, he will be haunted by his pre draft brain cramps, which he has moved on from in leaps and bounds. Hopefully he will be able to really stick it to all his critics some day soon.Bryanbryoil said:IMO he could play with the Oil next season, I'd even dare to say that if the Oilers don't acquire a #1 or #2 center that he will be in the line-up. He would likely play sparingly 5 on 5 "maybe 8-10 minutes a game" at least to start. He would be surrounded by defensively reliable forwards. That said, he could improve the Oilers PP right now, and I could see him scoring 10-15 goals and adding 15-20 assists. His shot is definately a weapon, however he was snakebitten in the Memorial Cup, that said he scored his fair share in the regular season, WJC's "with limited PT", and in the OHL Play-offs. I'm not worried about him not being able to score at the next level.

As a fan of a rival NW division team, if Edm wants to put the Schremp that I saw in the WJC and Mem Cup into their big league line-up when the NHL comes back I say "bring it"......... then chuckle a little bit.Hank19 said:Schremp will play in the NHL next season.
In fact, Kevin Lowe said that if there wasn't a lockout he might have been playing last season.
This kid has all the tools to be a superstar and I imagine with a newer more offensive friendly NHL he will be a 100 point guy.
