It's been a rough era for long-time ownership in this town.

It was just a shame that Ford was nowhere near half the owner Davidson & Ilitch were. As long as that family owns the team, it will continue to go nowhere.

Just came back from the viewing at the Fox Theater. Got to meet all the kids and some grandkids. Was really nice.

Mr. Illitch was the Best owner I could've asked for. As competitive as they came and never happy with 'just good'. I am a passionate fan and I always knew he would match my passionate as an owner. (Unlike some teams/owners I root for in other sports)

I don't live in Detroit. But I always respected his dedication and drive to see the city thrive again. This is a huge loss for a lot of people, not just the franchise we love.
