I see, NJ is building a nice group of young defenceman. Will be interesting to watch their D corps against teams like Philly's D in a few years.

Philly's should be a step ahead IMO.

Devils looked like they would have a real nice core but Merrill and Gelinas really regressed. Gelinas is gone now and Merrill likely has a foot out of the door pending next season.

Our right side is going to be loaded, which is unusual in the NHL. Larsson, Severson, Santini.. even throw in Jacobs. Larsson already is a top pairing and Severson/Santini look like they can safely be good 2nd pairing guys.

Santini with his first career point today. Played great in his first game of the season since being called up by Albany.
