Murray to Robidas Island, no way you trade a 1st to dump 1 year of an easy to bury contract, not with Kerfoot and Holl’s contracts coming off the books, a slight increase to the cap, and cheap alternatives like Holmberg, Knies, Robertson, and Timmins to fill out the roster

Meh...not a fan of the contract demands prior to the season after proving nothing...thought it was a sign of headaches to come. Guess he is someone else's headache now.
Yeeeeeeah I think hes been just fine with Washington. No headaches there.

Needed to give him more time I think, im more of a fan of Sandin then Liljgren

Pretty sure it's locked in at 28th. The Bruins are the highest seed that didn't make the conference finals, but nice 4 spot pickup there.

Don't the 8 teams that will be left to play round 2 all pick after Boston's pick?

Draft Order: The 14 teams who did not make the playoffs are eligible for the draft lottery, with the teams with lower total regular sesason points receiving more number combinations, and the winner gets the first overall pick. The rest of the picks are determined by reverse order of elimination from the playoffs, with the Stanley Cup winner receiving the last pick. For teams that were eliminated in the same round, the teams with the lower regular season point total gets the higher pick. All of the subsequent rounds are ordered in the same manner.

Its 28th. The 29th to 32nd picks go to the final four teams. The rest is determined by regular season finish.

The basic order of the picks is determined as follows:

  1. The teams that did not qualify for the playoffs the previous season (picks 1–16)
  2. The teams that made the playoffs in the previous season but did not win either their division in the regular season or play in the Conference Finals (picks 17–24 up to 28)
  3. The teams that won their divisions in the previous season but did not play in the Conference Finals (potentially picks 25–28)
  4. The teams that lose in Conference Finals (picks 29 and 30)
  5. The team that was the runner-up in the Stanley Cup Finals (pick 31)
  6. The team that won the Stanley Cup in the previous season (pick 32)

The 12 teams that lost in the first two rounds of the playoffs were slotted into picks 17-28. Teams that did not win their division were placed in inverse order of regular-season standings points, followed by the three division winners who lost in inverse order of regular-season points.

The No. 29 pick will go to the team that loses in the conference finals with the fewest regular-season points, and No. 30 will go to the other team that loses in the conference finals. The team that loses in the Stanley Cup Final will get pick No. 31, and the Cup winner gets No. 32.
