I was impressed by the calmness Keefe showed, Maurice was way out there definitely a difference from the calmness he displays in his interviews.

What most here and everywhere, don't get, might never get, is that all these guys know they are in on a big secret...

Very large money,

My buddy Travis Green is not in the bettman club any more, for the time being anyway...

Money, big money, business of hockey...

Gary the goof Bettman, appears to want guys groping and god knows what, to each other now..

For me, I am signing off, till the playoffs...

I see what is happening here now and everywhere on the street...

I am going to volunteer with seniors... Tune into the Leafs perhaps in the playoffs.

Not buying into this...its beyond....agenda...

See you guys in april..

This good news about the return could very much be something like:
You've got this certain level of injury right now, you can't do any further harm to it playing with a brace once the inflammation goes down. We'll schedule a repair of the knee in the off-season and get you ready to go with your repaired knee sometime in the early part of next season.

So... can't carry a 2nd line pairing but can play on one with some help. Got overpowered in a couple situations tonight... but his d-partner made his life pretty tought tonight lol.

Makes me sick that we need Muzzin and Holl back to push Rasmus down to the 3rd pairing. Is this guy anything more than a 5-6? I am not convinced he is yet... but he has some great flashes.

Tough game for him but he'll be fine. I see the same user is already writing him off as he is in the Liljegren thread. He put Lilly in some bad spots but it was the same vice versa too.

Both will be good players, and this game means absolutely nothing in the long run.

I think it meant something... as it was a challenge for the both of them to play higher in the lineup. They showed they probably are not ready for that yet (well not together for sure... Sandin can do it with a different partner I think). It's okay to have a shite game... and it is okay to acknowledge on this board... I hated their game... I don't hate them ;-)

As for the 'user' calling out shitty games from players, yea, so?

Thats not what you said. If you left it as Lilly wasn't very good in an elavated role. Thats fine.
However you said "we may as well move on now" whats that supposed to be interpreted as? Plus said "what positive does he bring"?
You just lashed out.

You did the same thing with Sandin.

Ah, yes... context. Move on from any plans of him being more than a 5-6-7. When he gets the sheltered minutes he is generally okay. That is a fair call-out by you. I am fine with him on the team in the right slot. Which is clearly not a 3-4 paired with Sandy lol

Thats fine. Be more specific. It's a failed addition for them. Hopefully it's better on Saturday.

Can't be worse... could it?

Yea, I'll try to be more specific in my moments of fury.
Thats the important thing. Be calm. Lashing out on the young d men isn't good. Don't judge on a bad game for the whole team. Hey here is the positive. Sandin and Lilly held the 3rd pair together. Today they weren't on it and look what happens.

I guess... but I am old... and my team has never won... and I am getting tired of it... I know, that is lame. But it is also real.

Funny enough, I am an optimist generally speaking. But I will call out the negative when I see it. This was a negative.

Yea, I like that point, and people forget those guys are 21 and 22 years old. I think part of this anger is how bad the real 2nd pairing has been... I mean they are "out" right now, but when they play they are not great either... however, after seeing tonight I have some new context for what bad really is ha ha. You know, I think the only difference between 8+3 and 38+37 tonight was the physicality that the bigger guys can bring... the actual play wasn't all that different if we are being honest.

I see no.4 potential in Liljegren.

Sandin is too slow. Combine it with his size. I just can't picture him a threat in the top 4.

I'd package sandin off with the 1st for an actual top 4 . They're going to make the same Dermott/Weegar mistake if they don't.

They're both excellent and prove that the Leafs have tremendous depth. Missing a couple of players will be no issue for this team. Deepest I can recall.

Sandin and our 2023 1st for Jakob straight up .. Yotes need a PP specialist and want to unload salary .. then we can unload Holl to anyone who picks up 100% his AAV with no retention .. and hurry up about it Dubie

Not enough for Zona to pull the trigger. Add Knies and Holl and maybe they bite. In a redraft of the Matthews draft by TSN, Chychrun was #8.

Problem with Sandin and Lily is that we need them to be today what they might be in a couple of years. Might be best to be patient with them but this team's window is open and if Chych can be had for a package starting with Sandin, you have to consider it. I'm not holding my breath though.

well then if that what it takes then do it .. it is very very hard to get a guy to change his stride completely and I don't see any speed improvement at all past 3 years in Sandin's stride

That's the risk of sports. If you have what you believe is top end talent, you need to always be prepared to roll the dice. Look at the Habs one year after a Cup Final. That is how easily and quickly a team collapses, so you need to take the shot 8 times out of 10.

Sandin would be tougher for me to part with at this point. I would only be willing to do so if I could address most every leak I saw in my team. So another upgrade on D and even up front? I can then accept trading Sandins upside for him. I still don't see how Leafs can even fit his $4M a year in their Cap though, with a few more years of contract, it's a risk worth taking if this team is serious about winning.

With all the chatter about pickups Florida, Carolina and even Boston are seeking, Leafs Cap problems are magnified.

It would be very tough to give up Sandin for Chychrun but it would be a moved I’d understand Dubas for making.
