[RANT] Tired of the lack of acknowledgment by major outlets

I don't totally understand the basis of frustration. The time to be frustrated was over 10 years ago when the signs started to spring up for sustained mediocrity.

This was the cost of the streak and increasing the tenure of a an incompetent and complacent GM who lost at contracts, trades, and drafting. To continue to stay relevant we can't keep an ineffective GM that far past their expiration date.

Friedge has made it a point to say that he doesn’t like speculating with Detroit because Yzerman is so tight lipped, but his 32 thoughts articles and pod have been one of the few legitimate looks into what Detroit is thinking from a national media source. Not sure what type of coverage you expect for a team that hasn’t been good for more than half a decade…

Also, I think a lot of the Seider/Calder hype came from Chiclets.

The Wings got talked about and national televised games well beyond when they were actually a good team.

After 20 years in the spotlight I'm fine with them being ignored for a while so they can come quietly roaring back, as the kids like to say.
