Thank you - was waiting for someone to post exactly this. Should be in the advance stat thread. I would also add the following:

In our forwards top nine we only have two players that have a shot first mentality. The rest are passers and probably one of the best in the league as a group. A lot of their scoring chance plays do not result in shots on goals because even in prime scoring situations they still look for an extra pass. Sometimes it's infuriating, it contributes negatively to shots for statistics but it works for this team and so it's fine. Our offensive defensemen are also pass first player and our two way Ds are not Webber's either.

There should be a statistic developed that takes into account offensive zone puck possession AND number of scoring chanes (not just shots) created per 60 min.

He needs a contract for next year, gotta endear himself somehow. He's a nice kid actually, very hard working local boy. I don't have anything against him. Wish him well. If he was better, Schneider would get more days off.

i think Kinkaid hates the Rangers because he is now on the Devils. Like how every Bruin learns to hate the Habs. One thing that maybe I don't see is if Rangers fans hate the Devils as much as Devils fans hate the Rangers. I never see you guys talk about them like they talk about us in their matching thread.

Growing up in Jersey and having to deal with them my entire life has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. Especially when you have to take the train with them after every game. Some sour people follow the Devils.

Based off reading their board, I think Devils fans hate Sam Rosen more than they hate our fans or our team.
