In the KHL he seemed to have one pretty substantial injury every season. Nothing reoccurring though.

2015-16: Sprained MCL, missed 31 games
2016-17: Bruised forearm, missed 8 games
2017-18: Sausage fingers, missed 20 games
2018-19: Spontaneous DeNiro face, missed 23 games

Well, Sausage fingers can be chronic.

The Hamburger Train.
Puts him right around the 40th highest paid goalie. Market rate for a 1B.
There's nothing to not like for a team with a sick G on an ELC and a bunch of dead cap to wait out.

I had $2.5m on my own spitball spreadsheet the whole time.

Georgie! Good deal. Pay dat man his munny.

The league is aware of the talent, now you’ve attached a solid number to him so his value goes up even more.

The Rangers now have one of the best tandems in the league, at a cost of $3.35M.

fantastic - so happy to see Georgiev stay. After the dead Hank money it looks nice.

So much for the trading him and keeping Hank dinghy crew.

Who the hell knows what he is at this point? LOL.
If you want to transliterate it into English, I would do it like this. I sometimes write it Georgijev, because that's how we do it in Finnish and the habit has stuck on. In English it's Georgiyev.

Yeah lol.

Cyrilic names are just a mess when it comes to transliteration in hockey, not just in the NHL but international hockey as well. Sometimes the policy is to just ask the player if you are fine with this or that and it often ends up being wrong because what the hell do these players know about transliteration. One of the most prolific examples is Malkin. It should be Yevgeni(y) Malkin, not Evgeni Malkin.
