you may be right, but until stated otherwise, I fully expect Edstrom to participate
he's just 22 and beginning his first full NA season

the guidelines for who is included can be very fluid,
a few years back Devils dressed multiple guys, in mid-'20's with multiple NA pro seasons' experience, for a rookie game

and maybe not Cuylle, who was AHL all-star,
but I anticipate some guys who played their first full NA pro seasons last year to also be included
- Rempe, some/all of Trevigno, Henriksson, Scanlin, Lindbom, maybe even Garand

and Robertson, with 2 pro seasons' experience, but his last season ended early due to injury

You’re just torturing yourself if you have different expectations than the players or staff. These are just meaningless scrimmages to be ice ready for full camp

Thought Emberson might not be here for this, after earning best defensive d for their division, but not many real prospect D, 3 tryouts and an AHL signee in this roster

Speaking of Othmann whether he makes the Rangers or gets sent to the Pack I expect he's going to play a fairly physical game. That's part of his package now. Anyone who's seen him in the two WJC's he's played or last year in the playoffs knows he hits a lot and he hits hard even for his bodyweight. He is very strong for his size.

I've seen a comparison of him to Dustin Brown and I think that's fairly close.
