The KHL is a fantastic league. Of course it's not on the level of the NHL, but that doesn't make it bad. You don't hear football fans trashing other leagues. EPL, Bundesliga, La Liga. Great leagues with great talent.
I'm sorry but this is so wrong. Even in Sweden we have guys who remind me of religious fanatics having their own favourite foreign league while trashing the others.

The thing with NHL guys going to Europe during lockouts is that they are on vacation and have no real reason/incentive to really excel where as players coming over to the NHL are trying to make it. That's not saying every good NHLer would be good if they were going full tilt in Europe, but we can't really judge based on what we see in lockout play.

Nice goal by Radulov... I hear he got hurt, is he out for any length of time?

Excuses? Kane just wasn't made for the big ice. Deal with it.

that wouldn't happen in the NHL. lets just say that

AWARD WINNING COMMENT for most ridiculous comment said today... you might even win the years best.

Dude, get a grip of reality. To say this would never happen in the NHL is the most ignorant thing to say. There was just a thread created the other day on videos of terrible defense in the NHL. There were dozens upon dozens of posts and that does not take into consideration that hundreds more were not posted.

Radulov is one of the worlds best. Whatever ranking you want to put him at, he is one of the worlds best hockey players. Stop believing this nonsense that the KHL is childs play compared to the NHL. There are many players in the KHL who could compete in the NHL and even for those who cant... that doesnt mean there not a good or great hockey player. Sometimes players cant play in certain systems and schemes but could excel in others. Look at world soccer... How many Spanish players cant play in England? Yet they dominate Spanish or Italian or other elite level leagues. Or look at the Brazilians. A league that is nothing like the top dozen leagues in Europe yet their players can come together and dominate the International stage every year.

Stop this thinking that the KHL is nothing. This play was rather ridiculous.

I mean Radulov basically side stepped two defenders, one of which who went knee to knee on him (penalty) and scored in mid-air.

Now I will agree that the NHL is head to toe better than any league in the world. But the KHL has many great players, many good teams and some of which who can give NHL teams a run for their money.

Since the KHL is expanding into other countries, gaining more and more rich investors and elite sponsors, and being the face of world hockey outside of North America... its only a matter of time in which the NHL has a rather serious foe.

- it was a nice goal:
- it wasn't an OMG WHATAGOAL because of poor defense;
- it didn't need a thread outside the K forum because these things are born dead;
- Radulov is out for a month.

So sick, so skilled. Shame he blew it. He wanted to stay in the NHL.

He didnt blow anything. He wants to live his life outside of strict coaching. Its rather dissapointing but the guy obviously could land a gig anywhere else in the NHL... but he rather get more popularity, more money and live where his heart is...

Alex Radulov was able to embarrass NHL defensemen as a rookie. Unfortunately, his personality has made him a very undesirable player to have in the league. This does not take away from his skill, however. He is a very strong, skilled player.

This is a reel of all of his goals prior to his departure from the NHL in 2008:

First off, it's been a while since brasilians have dominated any world cups. The last times they did, few of the squad members played in the brasileirao. I generally agree with your statement, but not these examples.

KHL: "We have money, so there!"

He and Kovalchuk should wrack up the highlight reel goals over there. Don't need threads posted when they walk around embarrassingly bad defensemen.

Remember when he came back to the nhl and he wasn't anything special?
he had some drinks after a game - ok
the parting of the d against chicago and leading his team in points in the playoffs aren't special?
the guy has 100-point potential in the NHL

What makes this goal outstanding:

1. Multiple dekes and dangles
2. He gets slew footed by defender 1 and is falling
3. Defender 2 puts his stick in the way of the puck
4. Despite 2 and 3, he keeps his balance while falling and maintains focus on a target in the net, and scores.

Moved to the KHL forum.

Since, you know, that's where this happened.

Not every thread needs to be started in the NHL forum.

This thread does not need to devolve into an NHL v KHL slug fest. It is about a goal, not about comparing the two leagues. Stay on topic.
