Proposal: Raanta to Calgary

I'd give up a first for Raanta, honestly. This year's draft isn't the greatest and you get a year with him paying literally nothing.

I see the Flames Trading Mason McDonald and a 2nd to pickup one of these goalies.

- Neuvirth
- Saros
- Keumper

Kuemper is a UFA. Saros is exempt so Nashville won't trade him. I think Neuvirth costs more. That might land Raanta though

I heard it was because Calgary Ownership mishandled potential trades for him in the past and didnt want to go through another round of it.

Also by now Calgary probably just has quite a reputation as a goalie graveyard.

Some people keep saying this but I just don't get it. The goalies calgary has brought in since the end of the kipper era have all been goalies jettisoned by former teams for being system goalies or weak in pressure scenarios, Brian Elliott being the prime example. It's not rocket science why he had a bad season, our d is not on the same level as st Louis.

We need an actual goalie.
