It's already over. The Avs will play to win. The Oilers will just be waiting for a reason to quit. Kane's out, so no worry about him trying kill one our players because he's a meathead. With all our injuries the Avs know the time off will be good for the team. Possibly even a blowout if the Avs score a couple early.

Yup. I don’t expect Edmonton to just quit right away but if we pop an early goal or two, down in the series 3-0 and losing, you’d have to imagine some guys on the bench might be asking themselves do I really want to fly back to Denver?

If Avs win, does the western conference winner touch the trophy? Not sure if anyone has in the West in a long time. Believe Joe did both in 96 and 01.

Not saying I believe one way or the other on them asking “do I really want to fly back to Denver?”, but I’ll say this: IF that’s a question in their minds, then it should be stated that they have a long travel ahead of them. Edmonton to Vancouver, bus to somewhere in Washington, and then fly to Denver

If it was me tonight I'd be running:

Landeskog - MacKinnon - Nichushkin
Lehkonen - Compher - Rantanen
Newhook - Sturm - Burakovsky
Cogliano - Helm - O'Connor

If you're allocating 5v5 minutes (assuming this game had no penalties) I'd give about 21 minutes to the 1st line, 18 to the 2nd line, and then split the last 21 minutes between the 3rd and 4th lines evenly.

if Edmonton wins game 4 (easy to do with the most intimidating crowd in the league), they get Kane back for game 5, they'll play game 6 back at home, and as we all know Colorado hasn't won a game 7 since people used Netscape Navigator

hard to imagine the Avalanche win this series. It was a good run while it lasted.
Actually terrified of losing tonight. It will set off a chain of events where the Oilers become the 2014 L.A Kings, coming back from 3-0 down to win the Stanley Cup.

A sweep would be nice, the boys need the rest. They won't lose the series but if they drop a game(s) they won't be as fresh for the ultimate test.

In that context the pressure is all on the Avs since its a must win for them. And the Avs crumble under pressure.

I'm not scared of losing this game if they lose. Maybe if it was 2-2 going back to Denver then I would've probably started to panic. Oilers have yet to outplay the Avs in this series. The only thing that scares me is Francouz. I really didn't like the McLeod goal and scared the sh** outta me everytime Oilers shot on the net after that. We will need our top line and Makar-Toews production to help with Kadri's injury. Ohhh and also if Rantanen plays like game 3 we're in business !
