Wow. I think I remember them being at the drive in here as well. I was born in 87 so might have just been right around when I was born. The drive in theatre here stopped in the mid 90’s. I can’t recall if the theatre had them or not. Of course space Jam was huge, but there wasn’t near the violence in that movie that the actual cartoon had

They were shown contemporaneously to when they were made- mostly 40's and 50's, although they'd be shown in later years. I remember seeing them as a kind in the 60's.
