I know what your saying with regards to Hall skating but it would be bad cause Hall would be lost in his own end trying to cover low and moving all over the place I just know it .Leave him on the wing where his speed really matters flying in on d men at his mercy

It will never happen and I absolutely agreed with you about him being lost in his own when he was coming here. I expected an absolute train wreck defensively but I have come to the conclusion
he isn't terrible defensively and many of his defensive issues stem from being on the wall somewhat stationary and easier to close on and
force a TO. If he was actually at C he would more often than at W be in more open areas and able to evade pressure more often. Not that he wouldn't turn it over but not as often as on the wall.

Anyway, not going to happen but its nice banter to have.

None are dangerous at C cuz they don't play that position. That's like trying to stick a square peg in a round hole.

Edmonton did try Hall at C for 3 games when he was 21 years old and abandoned it. It won't happen again but I wouldn't be surprised if he had to do it in game because of injuries and penalties he would be more effective than you think.

They’re struggling because they’re now the top line, and not able to take advantage of 63/37 ahead of them. Bergeron returning next game should help with that, even without Marchand.

I’m keeping Freddy-Coyle-Smith together, Vaak goes in for Clifton. Swap Stud for Steen if Bergeron is back, no use playing him on the wing.

Line combo thoughts: We are seeing the problem with taking Pasta of line one: No center, plus a meh Hall equals no pasta. Smith and Coyle have a little chemistry. Smith's speed, tenacity and decent d cover for Coyle's many weaknesses somewhat and let him create some plays. Glad Cassidy recognizes it.
