Again and again, potential versus knowing what you already are gonna get. It'd serve the Rangers better to try to keep developing McIlrath if he's looking good enough to believe he's an asset. Keeping both Diaz and McIlrath would be best IMO but trading McIlrath to make room for Diaz probably isn't a good long term decisions at this point
