[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

It’s a long way to be in this spot, make the roster. There are many great players.
I want to be a part of the team as soon as possible. I will work hard and I will see.
- Filip Chytil

I think it’s good to have someone there beside you that’s going to push you.
Having Kevin there to push me every step of the way was really good.
- Jimmy Vesey

For me, Jimmy's a gamer. He’s a guy that wants to prove that he can contribute and help a team win.
And he’s shown leadership qualities in the past and I expect him to be even better this year.
- Alain Vigneault

Interested to see the young centers, Chytil and Andersson. Also eager to see Gropp in action and what Puempel can show.

Catenacci is a long shot but he works hard and could position himself for a call-up if he can show well the rest of the exhibition season (or as long as he's around). If guys like Farnham don't stick he could potentially be a fourth line agitator. As I said though, long shot.

Looking forward to seeing the young centers, Hayes with Zucc, Gropp and Shatty's debut in a Ranger uniform.

Also, excited to see uts in action.

Can't get rid of a feeling that Chytil is / will be a winger (even though I'm fully aware that he's been playing center).

Also, interested to see Gropp and Tambellini in the same lineup.

And as many noted yesterday: Staal-Gilmour... ouch, though in a pre-season game against other team's depth (AHL and lower) it might came off as decent outing...

I'm almost more excited for this one (as opposed to the other night) because both Lias and CHYTILMANIA are in action together and Skjei with Kirk!

FUN!!!

Is there anyway to watch this game from non New York ppl?

Gamecenter/NHL.tv or (MOD).

Does anyone know why Bereglazov isn't playing in the first 2 preseason games? Haven't been following and haven't heard anything either.

Different lines at morning skate:

Big opportunity for Chytil if they keep him there, blah line for Andersson for sure. Vesey-Hayes seems like it should work in theory with Vesey being the puck hound that Hayes needs to work with but one of those guys is going to have to be firing the puck a lot and so far that's not been a strong point of theirs

As for Bereglazov, no one knows but it's probably one of two things. Either he has been very unimpressive and they're not ready to give him a game yet, or they're evaluating a few players that they'll send down soon and wanted to get them into some games first to see how they do, and Bereglazov will get some games later
