This - Werenski has the most complete defensive game of the three, and is the most consistent. He's exactly what I'd want as a top pairing d man. At the '15 draft Provorov went 7 (I think) and Werenski went right after and I remember thinking if I was Philly I would've taken Werenski there instead without hesitation

Is this supposed to be a joke?

Quick break down:

Provorov: GP 35 G 8 A 14 P 22 CF 53.7% CFR +1.5% OZS 48.4%, +7, 10th in TOI at 24:44, SH TOI 2:33, PP TOI 2:45

Werenski: GP 28 G 7 A 11 P 18 CF 51.8% CFR +2.0% OZS 56.8%, -3, 35th in TOI at 22:52, SH TOI 2:20, PP TOI 2:58

Sergachev: GP 33 G 5 A 13 P 18 CF 57.6% CFR +7.3% OZS 59.7%, +0, 121st in TOI at 18:51, SH TOI 0:17, PP TOI 1:55

By the numbers:

Sergachev- is extremely sheltered in his use and faces easy minutes, however he dominates those minutes and should probably start receiving more ice time and tougher assignments. He's being utilized as a 4D but is a low 2D high 3D quality player at this point.

Werenski- is being utilized as a moderately sheltered high end 2D. He is facing tougher assignments than Sergachev but isn't performing nearly as well as Sergachev does in his lesser role. If anything i think this suggest that Werenski is what he is, a High end 2D and that Sergachev deserves a step up to low 2/ high 3.

Provorov- Is playing some of the toughest minutes in the entire league and by a wide range the toughest of the 3 in this comparison. He's performed as a top 10 D thus far and has excelled better than Werenski despite doing much more heavy lifting, more ice time in his own zone, SH and against the teams top opposition every time. Provorov isn't dominating quite like Sergachev is in his minutes but like previously mentioned i believe Sergachev is too good for his current usage.

For the purposes of this poll i think the only answer is

Provorov

Werenski
Sergachev

If the answer is Provorov, it's wrong. Kid is flat out dominating at the moment on this flyers team.

What are you using to determine how tough a player’s minutes are? Zone starts?

TOI, SHTOI, ZS but there's also Qualcomp that i haven't listed to keep it simple. Provorov certainly faces the toughest minutes
