Probably because he has 4 years of professional hockey under his belt the Wing's brass don't need him playing against younger competition.

Elmer being there is a bit ’huh?’ tbh, but with how many games he missed last year I guess they want him to get more reps on small ice.

sure hope so.
I try not to get hyped for anyone, especially since around 2017-18 or so, but now the wings have turned a corner and i just want him to be our big steal/sniper

Honestly he already did last year. Definitely one of the standouts. This year will probably be more about seeing if he's displaying any growth physically, doing the right things away from the puck etc.

Yeah, funny how this is structured in same ways like they proably want that future defence to be.
Two skill defencemen in Wallinder and Tuomisto. Other four are big and physical regular defencemen. And those skill guys are also BIG.

I believe many fans underestimate how difficult it is to play against someone who is 10 cm taller than you and 20 kilos heavier. Especially, if they are as skilled as you.

No Cossa /Wallstedt match ups 
Always an exciting tournament to watch and this year maybe ill take some vacation time to see it in person to get out of hell hole hot S Florida for a bit and to see our prospects. I am looking into travel plans and hotels (hopefully its no too late to book). Would be my first time to TC so any advice would be appreciated.
