videos were a bit harder to find with viro, so just one highlight package, an interview, and a couple of wings fans just talking about the guy.

Honestly, if you look at McIsaac's resume and then Wallinders....

Looking at this list really drives home how D heavy our pool is. Hopefully we start injecting some more skilled forwards into our prospect group starting with the next draft. We have some forwards, but outside of Raymond, Berggren, Teddy and Mastro, I dont see "skill" per se, at least not to the level that will be useful at the top level.

Voted Tuomisto again because he has a chance to win the poll, even though I currently have Soderblom a hair ahead of him.

After this round its a definite Soderblom vote

My guess is Soderblom may slip to 14 in the poll.

Niederbach is kind of a touchstone/waymaker.
Always ranks in the same place. Always behind the same guys. Always ahead of the same guys. Even on the ranked choices, it was amazing how he almost always came in at the same spot.

Strategic voting, that coincidentally actually lines up with my list in that thread. These guys are so close in my mind, and such longshots, that many of them are interchangeable on a day to day basis. I'd rather put my vote toward a guy I kind of like than let a guy I really don't like sneak a win in.

Which brings me to the much bigger issue of first past the post voting system we use so often in our world. You see...............

I just keep voting Soderblom.
Because it's what I believe to be true.
I don't care what the results are, I guess.

Yeah, I went with that method voting for Johansson for 4 rounds when I knew the results weren't going to be close. It got boring for me. After doing that, I decided it's more fun to actually try to influence guys I do like in front of guys I don't like :dunno:

I'm not buying the "Wallinder isn't progressing" narrative that's getting tossed around. I thought he looked pretty good in the Allsvenskan. A little overwhelmed or out of position at times in the defensive zone, but I saw improvement. For a guy pegged as a four year project, he looks to be moving along just as expected. It sucks that he's not going to be in the SHL to start the season, but I expect he'll get called up before season's end or get loaned out to the Allsvenskan again.

I've never been a big Tuomisto fan, but he's definitely in the conversation here and seems to be moving along more-or-less as anticipated. And then there's Sebrango. I didn't watch too much of the Griffins last year, so I haven't boarded the Sebrango hype-train, but there's a pretty good argument in his favor too.

Add Tyutyayev.

Yeah, that's why these polls suck.
If you have a guy rated way higher than the rest, your opinion isn't counted unless you change your opinion.
So it's stupid.

I've not watched more a few minutes of Wallinder since his draft.
But from what I do see, it's hard to think he's made a ton of progress.
Same thing with Mastrosimone.
But both guys can turn that around this year.
On the other hand, with poor years/injuries, they could end up in McIsaac's spot, with 75 percent of the fanbase thinking they're practically done as a prospect.

I chose Soderblom. Big, good hands, willing to hit and take a hit, and could be a very unique power forward type.

I really like McIsaac and think he could have gone between 8 to 10 if he was healthy, but I think the health issues will haunt him.

The phenomenon that is currently happening to Wallinder's name requires a lot of ability to handle nuance, hehe.
