Lots of disappointment. Quite a few injuries. They will struggle badly to score next year. Will be lots of line shuffling and nothing will ever really gel. Not enough high end talent on the roster. Too many tweeners - none will prove capable of making that next step as a regular scoring line player. Blueger and Pets will have nice little year for themselves, though. And Crosby and Guentzel will continue to tick along. Rest of team mostly a mess, though. Leans too hard on Letang and Schultz... both go down with injury. 261 goals with the above figured... plus a few more unaccounted for with fill-ins and trades. That seems about fair or more than fair for this group. Gally won't make it through the year before being traded. Malkin struggles all year again without much in the way of actual help and with Schultz going down again after starting the year hot.

Team misses playoffs despite Sullivan being fired near deadline and replaced by WB/S dude to try jolting them into shape. JR blames it on a lack of pushback.

Malkin/Galchenyuk duo will rival Crosby/Guentzel

Alex being as motivated as he is will also give a boost to Geno who had no chemistry with anyone last year. He will once again prove people wrong(on the main board in the "hes not a generational player" thread) and have one of his best seasons.

Hope so. I think a lot of these other totals are pretty out there, though. I'd be pretty shocked if this turns out to be a high octane group. Fast, tenacious and scrappy, sure. Lots of offense? Eh... I just don't see it.

I also just don't much like Gooch. I'll be totally honest that I'm biased. I don't see him working out here, at all.
