Looks good.

I'm going to wait until they are cap compliant before making any predictions though.

Seems legit. I’d probably bump up Pettersson and Simon’s numbers up a bit.

I’m going to assume Simon will get some good time on L1 and Pettersson and Schultz will likely play with Malkin a lot (and Petts ATOI should rise too)

Malkin is winning the Art, Hart, and Richard. Bad season followed by good season.

My bold prediction is AJ makes one of the surplus at wing expendable.

Way too many 82gp there. Ironman Kessel is gone.

Btw if Kahun plays on first line i say will get 20 goals. We could have 8 players with 20+

Just depends on injuries...as usual

I highly doubt Tanev gets 147 points.

I really wanted to include Kahun as a 20 goal guy but I didn’t wanna go overkill.

Tanev could surprise us!
I think he breaks 20 goals as well

I think McCann is going to have a breakout year and go 25 goals and 50 points. As it stands, I'm predicting a big down patch this year when guys get sick of playing a passive system with little puck moving help so points may be down significantly. It will take a while to adjust the PP to not having Phil too, so I wouldn't be surprised if neither Sid or Geno break 90 points.

Sid due for another Rocket. Long off season, 56 goals for a career high.

Sid will never hit those totals with a goal scorer on his wing. He simply opts to pass too much when he feels comfortable one of his wingers can score. Usually takes one of those seasons where he feels he has to be the "goal scorer" on his line to challenge for 50.

Yeah the only thing thats ever bothered me about him. If he "chose" to score 50 (or close) a year I think he could. He passes up way too many shots...i get he likes being a team player or whatever but theres years where he has what...200 less shots than others? Games where he had 0-2 shots....others with 8-10.

Youre exactly right about when he decides to be the goal scorer...the numbers go up.

Btw im fine with him setting up Guentzel since hes a great finisher. But way too many passes to Rust/Simon/etc who had no chance to put the puck in...when Sid had better position. Situations like that.

One thing that is for sure tho is he def doesnt care about being compared to OV and others....and that may be the reason we did win 3 cups with the guy. He does make everyone better. And could do so much more personally if he wanted to

If coach plays the best players this season, and lets him play his game, Riikola hits 20-25 points. Bookmark it!

Well, assuming you meant Tanev sandpapering his way to 17 goals, you have the team scoring 352 goals. They scored 271 goals last season while the top team (Bolts) scored 319. It's nice to think that everyone hits their potential in the same season, but it just doesn't happen. A few players may exceed those numbers, but most will fall way short and Pettersson likely doesn't quite hit 40+ points next season.... or ever.

I have a hunch Tanev is gonna break The Great One's goals in a season record.

Not everyone is gonna play to their maximum abilities, but it's nice to see we have all of this young potential on our roster.
