Pressure really needs to be on UPL in this one. I'm sure Rousek and Biro will be feeling it and Benson has already proven he can play at this level but this is UPL's one chance to start a full game before they start to count. I know they won't try to sneak him through waivers but if he has a poor game who knows when he gets another shot. They will definitely be keeping three for a while if UPL falters.

For sure, and I saw what Clifton said about practice being more valuable to developing chemistry to some guys. I just worry about him jumping right into regular season hockey from a standstill, both health and performance-wise.

So, I heard that interview with Granato talking about Clifton needing only 1 or two 2 games; and while the logic makes total sense there's a small part of me that was like "wow great scam Cliffy"

I trust Levi the most but how much trust can u have in a 21 yr old rookie with 7 starts.

I really didn't want to go thru another season like this.

I really didn't want to go thru another season like this.

Levi might even start out looking good, but around the second half of the season teams will start to get a better read on him. Hopefully two of them show sound enough fundamentals and shore up any weaknesses to be consistent even after shooters start to figure them out a bit.

Yep. Those two and EJ are the only assumed regulars to not be playing tonight.

What I find interesting is E Johnson has yet to get a game. Does he go in the last preseason to shake the rust off, or will he just be the 7th D?

I’ll be having a close eye on Peeke for Columbus. It’s pre-season so I won’t really lament if he has a bad game, but we’ll see
