The best? That's just not true at all. He was still trying deke everyone and losing many pucks because of it. Not to mention how light on his skates and how weak he was on the puck. He showed promise, but he's a much different player today than at that age. A much better player.

If anything, it was fans frustrated at the lack of talent on the Leafs roster and wanting more sooner than later.

He's is a better player today but he was great in camp that year. Wasn't so much trying to deke through everyone as it was him succeeding in going through everyone.
