Just how many goals do you think most second liners get in the NHL? The league averages four 20+ goal scorers per team over a season. Having a setup guy to get a 2nd or 3rd line with two 18ish goal scorers is at or above average. If Smith works as that setup guy ... great. If not ... slide him back down to the 4th line and let Sherwood try.
