I think this is a sound investment. What we saw with Tinordi, and even Holzer in very limited viewing, is that big guys who play within their limitations can be reasonable fill-in options in those bottom-pair spots.

I know we hardly got to see Holzer, and Harpur not at all yet, and maybe it's just a self-deception rebound effect after some of the struggles our bottom-pair endured in recent seasons, but the small sample seemed promising to me. Worth trying out again if we don't find any more permanent solution IMHO.

I'd completely forgotten that we'd traded Salomaki for this guy until now. Hopefully he'll at a minimum be a good AHL player.

I enjoyed having Salty in Milwaukee. He was someone that Eeli could talk to.

Harpur played 7 games for Milwaukee with 1 assist and 20 PIMs. He is 6'6" and 230 pounds. Definitely no stretching the truth with him.
