how is that a semi-bounce back year for Raymond? it would be the 2nd best year of his career.

Should've clarified how it's a semi-bounce back year, he'll score 90% of those goals in spurts, basically continuing his super hot/cold swings, just a little more hot than cold this year. And he won't have much for assists.

Gio goes down 1/3 into the season. Brodie/Hamilton develop amazing chemistry. Gio and Jones get traded to the Ducks for Ritchie + a very late 1st. Gio fails to impress, fresh from injury, in a new system and resigns with the Flames in the off season 4 year/6.5 million.

Gaudreau and Monahan struggle a bit(50-55 point range) but Bennett battles McDavid for the Calder.

West is a dog fight again and key injuries keep us just out of the playoff picture.

Wouldn't shock me, maybe package with Wideman and get a stud winger?

But I was thinking more along the lines that playing 83 games is impossible, the same way as I feel about him playing 82 games, I don't think it's possible.

II is gonna cry again

1. Byron will actually score on some breakaways.
2. Ortio goes back to the AHL.
3. Backlund plays less than 60 games.
4. Giordano doesn't get injured.
5. Raymond is waived.
6. My new favorite prospect Agostino makes the Flames by Christmas, and therefor defends Reinharts honor.
7. Reinhart makes the Predators.
8. Connor Mc****Bag sucks.

That sounds like every other year of his career, except the assists part

2022 Cup to Calgary
Prospects Predictions:

Defensemen:
Rafikov makes the KHL.
Wotherspoon gets called up, looks good beside Wideman or Hamilton, and forces Treliving to make some moves to stay for good.
Morrison gets called up, looks good, but there's just no room for him. For now. Jumps way up everybody's rankings.
Culkin & Kulak continue to progress
Kanzig has a strong rookie season.
Sieloff gets better, but just doesn't impress.
Gilmour has a solid senior year and earns a contract.

Forwards:
Shore and Ferland are kept up. Some bodies are moved to make room.
Poirier averages 1 PPG in the AHL
Agostino averages 0.9 PPG in the AHL
Granlund sent down during training camp, but gets first callup.
Arnold averages .8 PPG in the AHL
Klimchuk averages .6 PPG, but transitions smoothly overall to the pro game.
Hickey continues to shine, adding some powerplay creativity to his already strong repertoire.
Jankowski averages 1.25 PPG in the NCAA as the #1 option and makes the NHL Flames the minute he gets signed, playing key playoff minutes.
Mangiapane is top 5 in OHL scoring.
Karnaukhov gets himself up to a shade under PPG in the WHL
Caroll and Smith have solid but unspectacular rookie seasons, but make good progression as the year goes along.

Goalies:
Ortio makes main team, averages .925 save percentage.
Gillies has a solid, but less spectacular pro rookie season that a lot of people expected.
Mason McDonald continues to impress.

Main team Player Predictions:

Defensemen:
Smid is on LTIR.
Nakladal makes main team
Engelland is waived

Forwards:
Monahan increases FO% to 54%
Backlund finally breaks 20 goals/50 points
Bennett has a very good rookie year but doesn't place in Calder nominations. 20 goals and 25 assists.
Gaudreau is amazing.
Bouma has 15 goals.
Ferland has 10 goals
Jooris has 15 goals.
Byron has 10 goals.
Frolik has 18 goals
Shore finds Hartley's good side.
Jones is traded at the deadline for picks.
Raymond is traded during training camp for being terrible.

Goalies:
Hiller is outplayed by Ramo/Ortio in training camp, gets traded.
Ramo is unspectacular and inconsistent. Should have gone with Hiller/Ortio.

Main Team Predictions:
2016 Stanley Cup

If the Flames go on another 8 game losing streak, the main boards will be far more unbearable than they usually are!

-Gaudreau scores more points than McDavid
-Monahan pots another 30 goal season
-Hudler regresses to about 60 points
-Bennett scores at least 50.
-Giordano does not reach 60 points (due to the Hamilton acquisition).

With all the big goals he scores, and 2 goal games he has. Hard to believe Money doesn't have a Hat trick or 2 yet.
