When you break down the plays that Barzal makes (not just his passing but how he takes one on ones, how almost all of his goals came directly from his skill except when there was more of a focus on him defensively/how his goal scoring improved when there was more of a focus on him defensively, his edge work is maybe second to only mcdavid) and his linemate being in a contract year it's hard to imagine him regressing

Also pulock lee on the first power play is going to put up a lot of points

Except now he'll be forced to make said moves against the Hedmans and Karlsson's of the league rather than teams second pairings

Not a single dman in that class is in the metro either
You're joking, right? Between Carolina, Columbus, Philadelphia, and Washington, there's arguably more in the Metro than any other division. Hamilton, Jones, Provorov, Carlson... and that's before we get into other "maybe" guys like Slavin and Werenski.

You think that those guys are on par with Hedman and doughty? Cause pretty much nobody is

Tavares hasn't put up that goal scoring pace since the shortened season

John Tavares also hasn't played with playmaking wingers the caliber of Mitch Marner or on a team as talented offensively as he is about to. JT has put up 30+ goals in 3 of the past 4 seasons, coming 2-3 goals shy of 40 in 2 of them. Its not unreasonable to project JT getting north of 40.
