Our lineup is ****ed with Gaborik out and Pearson suspended for 2 games. Pearson should slot in on the top line when he returns...

How the **** is that a cap team? That's gross and no way that team makes the playoffs. They have 3 top 9 forwards and 3 good dmen. I'm not sold on Pearson at all and Gaborik is injured all the time anyways.

I think Eriksson-Ek does a good enough job to stay with the Wild permanently. Four lines capable of scoring with a great defense. I like it.

Judging from the lines so far :

:jets

Ehlers - Scheifele - Wheeler
Laine - Little - Armia
Connor - Perreault - Stafford
Matthias? - Lowry? - Burmistrov?

Enstrom - Byfuglien
Morrissey - Myers
Stuart? - Postma?

Pavelec?/Hellebuyck?/Hutchinson?

Top 9 is set for now imo, with PoMo mentioning the young guys will move around within the lines as needed (he mentioned pairs, so C/RW with the LW's moving up/down as needed to shake things up), we're still unsure of the bottom pairing and how high Morrissey will start in the lineup, who is going to be in our fourth line, and exactly what the **** they're going to do with the goaltending situation.

Tonights game should give a good idea on everything but goaltending.

Damn, that's pretty good. I think splitting Gio and Brodie could take them to another level too. Feeling good about my prediction the Flames make it over Anaheim.

Damn the Flames could really surprise this year, really liking what they've got so far. Of course this all hinges on Gaudreau signing ASAP, but I could definitely see them grabbing 3rd spot in the Pacific.

I would be very, very surprised if Guentzel starts the year on the team, let alone on Malkin's line. He's an impressive player, but he needs a little more time in the AHL.

Boucher is apparently rolling with 7 defensemen/11 forwards in the lineup. Stone apparently projects to be back from his concussion in time for opening night. Pyatt seems to be Boucher's pet project, so I'd expect him in the lineup. That leaves one spot open for either Dzingel, Puempel, or Varone, all of whom seem to be the three top bubble guys in the pre-season. I really have no idea who they'd put in the lineup out of three so I'll go with Dzingel because I like him best.....Puempel getting the first shot in Mac's spot on the Brassard line wouldn't surprise me though. Dzingel and Varone both seem like speedy playmakers and somewhat similar players, where as Puempel isn't a guy who can create on his own and isn't as flashy but is more of a goal scorer who is better in front of the net/on battles/finding the right place to finish and be set up by Brassard for a goal. We saw that in small doses in the pre-season.
