I do think that many mismatches will occur this year. Teams refusing to play an enforcer; a coach will force a certain player into the role.

Mike Johnston: Hey, Bobby. That Peluso guy is running around. Deal with him.
Bobby Farnham: No problem, coach.

The press conference the next day from Rutherford: "Fighting should be banned, and here's more evidence to support it."

It's a conspiracy.

Cowen is the same size then Bordeleau and the biggest guy white fought in the NHL

But Bordeleau is 5 times the fighter Cowen is, and White still got absolutely handled by Cowen.

Here's the vid if you don't remember it. I'd be surprised if he'd risk that again, let alone try going with a guy who can fight the way Bordy can.

Well if he do the same cheap shot with bordelaux on the ice he wont have a choice.

By the way just want to say that should have been a major and Cowen deserved 2+10 for instigator

Ryan White and Luke Gazdic are dumb enough. Colorado plays Edmonton 3 times and the Flyers twice. Every players can fight 3 times a game so you got 9 fight vs Gazdic and 6 vs White.
9+6=15

I like whitey a whole lot but he want's nothing to do with a monster like bordeleau. That's not to say that he wont get his nose in there if he has to, but he's not going to actively seek him out.

he's a stand up guy, but he's really really outmatched against real hw's

good luck with that one. Prust has never faught that much when he played on the habs and was LITERALLY the only guy who could go. Unless you want to six million dollar man his shoulders, and find an unused time machine, if Prust fights 20 times I'd be floored.

Plus the only guy he's really ever tuned up good is now his teamate in Dorsett. in the last two years he had 11 ( parros took up the rest) and I think 17 fights. I think in the 12-18 range is reasonable provided he stays healthy.

Farnham has to be the worst fighter in the league. He got annihilated by 30 year old French rookie Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, who is neither big, strong or known as a fighter.

Ryan White will not be fighting 24 times. He actually showed he can be an effective bottom 6 player last season. He might get 10 scraps in, tops. He's going to be trying to play hockey again like last year.

Ryan White fought Eric Boulton last year. That doesn't guarantee that he'll fight Bordeleau but who knows.

There aren't many guys who will go with Bordeleau. Off the top of my head:

1. Anthony Peluso
2. Luke Gazdic
3. John Scott
4. Deryk Engelland
5. Shawn Thornton
6. Jared Boll

Ryan Reaves, Chris Neil, Brandon Bollig, Deryk Engelland, and Ryan White are guys that may, but I don't see many of them doing it. I don't think McGrattan will see much (if any) time in the NHL this year. Tom Sestito will go with him but it remains to be seen whether he'll be able to find his way back into the league.

Gazdic wrecked Bordeleau in their last fight. The kid does not lose fights very often.

Gazdic's an absolute monster. His tilt with Neil this past season was one of the best fights I've seen in years. Both guys have iron chins, Neil ate a good 3 punches that should have KO'd him, and Gazdic ate 1 or 2 like that himself.

I'd love to see Lucic/Bordeleau.

I still can't get over the Lucic/Rechlicz fight from the 2013-14 preseason.
