Good job on the U.S. roster. That might not be too far from reality.

Canada's looking alot weeker than last year, assuming Crosby plays in the NHL were taking a huge blow there.

If that is the team I could see Blake Comeau making it.

That will be 5 active gophers and one future gopher. Love my gophers. He is not tearing up the WCHA but would Chucko be available or Canada?

Does Chucko have any chance to make it? He more than held his own in the WCHA. Physically was impressed with his play. His skating and stick handling are bound to be better. I look for him to be a very solid power forward by the mid point next season.

Good list for the US but I don't think Gerbe has a shot at this years team. Maybe next year. Also, are those your line combinations?

Nice job on the rosters, but I'd expect Canada to have a couple more role players up front - a little heavy on the offensive-type players IMO. Every year there are several grinders on the team, so I would expect players like Clune and Neal to get long looks after their workmanlike efforts at the Under 18.

I would suspect that several players not invited to the summer camp will come to the fore after strong starts to the upcoming season, especially netminders.

If a player like Steve Downie can build off his solid playoff performance, he would be a candidate for an "agitator" role come December.

Canada: Without Crosby
Forwards:
Pouliot -- Brule -- O'Marra
Latendresse -- Cogliano -- Boyd
McGrath -- Bolland -- Bourret
Picard-- McArdell -- Setogucchi
Bertram

Defence:
Barker -- Bourdon
Mikkelson -- Parent
Schultz -- Fistric
Russell (PP guy) or O'neil

Goalies:
Price/Dubnyk

Pretty Similar too your list: these are mostly safe bets. Look for some guys to jump up with performances this year ala : Chucko, Wolski, Downie, Ryder, Staal (Marc), Clune, Clutterbuck, Wilson, Rogers, Toews (maybe????)

Here's his bio: http://www.winterhawks.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=58&Itemid=79

Excellent defenseman who has had some serious injury problems of late. If healthy he should be a lock for the U.S. squad. Big, good skater, competant passer, and solid in his own zone.

Chucko will be available and will probably make the team. With Brent Sutter back it looks good.

Also, people are just putting up bigger prospects, but an 18 year old Dustin Boyd almost made the 2005 team, he will get a much longer look in 2006.

I don't which Picard that is, but if it's Columbus' 1st rounder from last year, he's too old. Bryan Little should have a shot at making the team next year. Garlock and Wolski could sneak in there as well.

Chipchura is pretty much a lock to make it. A checker with good offensive skills - he's also a real character type of guy. He's an 86 so he will also be older and more experienced.

He would probably have had made the team this year but he had a bad tendon injury...

maybe its from lack of seing him play... but I havent been overly impressed with Chipchurra.. Looks like a poor mans Ladd with better leadership qualities (from what I've heard) Do people think he's a lock ? I think he's on the bubble.
