Holy f*** Hayes has looked good. He really has. I was kinda lukewarm on the signing, glad to have added a legit NHL body, not thrilled on the finances...but he's just undeniably been better than advertised. Big and smart and smooth. That little drop pass to Jake just now was so pretty, not a goal, but results in another PP. Excellent.

I still think he will spend most of his time there. Therien is just trying to give different looks...which is honestly how it should be.

Yes...G is better served on the left side....but other teams know how to defend it after all these years. If him and Jake can switch and run some plays from the opposite side too it will make the PP so much harder to defend.
