I've talked to a lot of them but heres the highlights

John Gibson - first time I met him was at the prospect game last year, he wasn't playing but he was sitting in the closed area watching....dude looked like a total dick haha people would ask for autographs and he would walk over would not smile at all, even some little kids walked over and he didn't even smile...I guess he is cold blooded on the ice as well as off it.

Hampus Lindholm - Probably the nicest guy I have met on the team other than Teemu, he went out of his way to talk to me and seemed so genuine.

Nic Kerdiles - After the game this weekend at Anaheim Ice I went to eat at the "Gypsy Den" right next to the parking structure, I saw him walk in to meet his family, I didn't want to bother him but as I was leaving I just said "good job out there man, you killed it" he smiled and talked to me for a little bit, was nice of him seemed like a good dude.

I met Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry a couple years ago at the fanfest. Getzlaf was extremely nice and personable. Corey Perry, on the other hand, was the exact opposite. He didn't look at me and say anything back when I said hi. Met Teemu as well but it's pretty well known what kind of person he is.

The first time I've ever met any players was at the signing event on Sunday and pretty much all of them said the usual "hey, how are you doing?" "good, thanks for signing my shirt" but the only person that didn't say anything to me was Ritchie. He didn't even acknowledge me really, I would say he was shy, but I'm pretty sure he isn't. Anyways, I think the closest I've ever been to meeting a roster player was when my dad fixed Getzlaf's car

haven't met any of the newer guys

last time i really met any of the players was the '07 team and they were all very friendly from what i remember. i used to always wait outside anaheim ice and they would drive up and sign as they were leaving or sometimes even walk out and sign for the fans.

i still remember bryz pulling up in his car to sign while screaming something in russian on the phone to whoever he was talking to. guess he was crazy even back then

Pretty cool

PS
Is it just me or does Kesler looks much happier than he did last year in Vancouver? I remember him sad all the time in Van, even his nhl.com profile picture is sad

Here in Ana he is all smiles in all the photos and videos. And in his Ice bucket challange

Love this video so much. Could not even imagine being in that situation at all.

Never have met a Current Duck, but I did get to meet Mike Brown when he was on Prince Edward Island for Dion Phaneufs wedding a few summers ago. Said a lot of good things about the organization and was a class act. Have also met Michael Ryder (great guy) Brendan Morrow (sorta douchey) JVR and Carl Gunnarsson (both nice guys)

That's awesome. Think Kesler's going to fit in really well with this group on and off the ice

I met Gibson last year, seemed like a dick then too.

Etem is a nice dude. He loved my mighty ducks jersey, got to actually have a good conversation with him.

Getzlaf seemed nice too when I met him.

I also meet Ahlers, he's nice. Had maybe 10 min conversation about how my school is going and stuff. Actually asked about my life and seemed to care. I didn't talk to hazy but he had that "I'm better than everyone else" attitude going on.

Met Silf and Perry last year at fan fest. Didn't get to talk much because it was in the autograph line:laugh:

Perry was shy and didn't talk much but I expected that hearing the stories of him being quiet. Just "hello" "how are you" and "no problem buddy" after I said thank you for the autograph.

Silf was extremely nice and friendly. When he saw my Silf jersey he said that was the first time he's seen someone wear his jersey here so that was pretty cool:)

I was at a charity event prior to the start of the 09-10 season and met just about the whole team. Perry is the most socially awkward pro athlete I've ever encountered. I think he's just genuinely shy. James Wisniewski and Mike Brown were really cool. Actually talked to Brown for a good while. He's smaller than you'd think. Randy Carlyle was a hoot (it was a wine tasting event and everyone was a little bit drunk). Scotty, Jiggy, Koivu all super nice. Got to show Teemu a picture of my parent's dog Teemu, it thought that was awesome. Had a good chat with Bobby Ryan because my brother used to play with him. Really nice and really smart.

A year prior I was at the Lady Ducks' fashion show and got to meet Bret Hedican when he was a Duck for like a minute. Far and away the nicest pro athlete I've ever met. Really engaging and thoughtful. Great guy. Ryan Whitney was there was a total wet blanket. Good times.

I mentioned this last year, but I ran into Souray when he showed up for therapy on his wrist. He was very nice as we compared surgical scars. When I asked him how he hurt himself this most recent time, he explained it in detail. He seems very down to earth. According to the employees there, he is very nice and well liked.

I met him at the Violent Gentlemen warehouse, he was super cool there too.

I've met a few of them (went to a Casino night event)

Beauchemin seems like a really cool dude...we talked about the Iginla fight in '06.

I mostly remember being in the same elevator as Doug Weight when he was a Duck...he seemed like a total dick, but granted this was like 10 seconds of exposure.

i also met brian hayward once at anaheim ice

i was there at a public skate and went to use one of the restrooms that you enter from the locker rooms. i'm using the sink when who else but hazy emerges out of one of the stalls. yes it sounds a bit awkward but we actually chatted it up in the restroom and he told me how he was there playing goalie for a rec league.

he was also kind enough to let my friends and i take some pictures with him. very nice guy

A few years ago, I stood in line behind him at Ralphs where he proceeded to buy up half the liquor department just before New Years. Waited for an invite to the party that never came.

I have a few of experiences meeting Duck players, but I'll just recall the most memorable two.

Memorable meeting one.

It was the Ducks' tenth season of existence, brimming of hope and new beginnings. Last year's coach, Bryan Murray, was promoted to GM. He then, in turn, hired some new faces, one being new coach Mike Babcock. Fast forward, we made it to the post season. After each home game, players would come out, say hi, and sign autographs. I had a girl friend at the time who loved JS Giguere, because he looked good than play well. Yeah... a puck bunny, but only because she tolerated me being a fan of a sorry team - to which she still didn't care because JS was her man.

Anyhow, we were standing with a huge group waiting in line to get autographs. I've heard how sometimes the shorter players would include their skates to increase their heights. Part of this was pun by Hazy, Ducks color commentator, and part truth. So there I am getting signatures as players pass by. Then I see Andy McDonald out of the corner of my eye. As he gets closer to me I realize two things about Andy, he's got one thick neck and he's short! I mean, he's listed at 5'10 and I'm shorter than that, but he looked to be about my height! I tried whispering it to my girl friend that Andy is short. She couldn't hear me so I said it louder. You know those movie moments where the atmosphere of loudness dies down and the protagonist's voice is booming in silence? Yeah, well, there was a lull of silence somehow in the massive crowd just as I raised my voice to tell my girl friend at the time that Andy was short.

Eerily, I gave a quick glimpse over to where Andy was and all I see was his usually soft, smiling face turn into a quick stern, stoic look of "I'm gonna knock you out". Yeah... I froze. I did what our mascot would do... which is to duck below water (fan) level and skedaddle out of the nearby premises. Fortunately, my girlfriend still got Andy's signature for me.

Memorable Meeting 2

It was an evening after a home Ducks' game. The time was before the Ducks won their championship and after the lockout. I had befriended a group of girls who were part Duck fans and part Duck bunnies. It was me and about eight to nine girls, me being the only guy. On games where we all were able to make together, we would pick a locale to go to and eat after the game. There was this restaurant nearby the arena that had a pool hall. Seemed like just a normal night on the town.

We were playing on one billiard taking turns as a two groups while some of us were just chilling with alcoholic drinks in tow. Two tall gentlemen walked through the entrance, talked to the greeter, and proceeded to play next to our billiard. (This was so long ago, so the fact may have been hazy on the details of the billiard.) The girls automatically knew it was Sami Pahlsson and a rookie that I can no longer recall, but Swedish as well.

All I can remember about that night was I was taking pictures all night and cracking up at the lines Sami and the rook were dishing out on the girls. I stayed out of the girls way of playing billiard with the players. Sadly, being drunk, I totally forgot to include a picture of me with the players as they were being hogged up by the girls. That night was a Duck bunny's dream come true.

Alas, that was so long ago that I've completely forgotten who the other player was.

not all these dudes are comfortable meeting random people, keep that in mind. always be aware of that when you talk to them, you know who they are, but they don't know you

Went to my local sharzeez in Newport for lunch takeout. I've met a few players there before but I've never seen more than 10 of them at a time there. We had just won the cup, so I thought the boys were just celebrating at one of their favorite bars. Whenever I see a player in public I keep it short and give them a complement. In this instance, people were actually giving them attention, so I had no intension of fighting a crowd full of surfers and random 909 drunks to talk to the guys.

All of a sudden I hear a bunch of screams, I turn my head back over to the crowd around the players and the Stanley cup is being hoisted over the barrier of outside the restaurant and over to Parros....

Um ya... That's a game changer. I leave my sandwich and follow the players and the cup down to the beach where THE REST OF THE TEAM was waiting for a beach photo op with the cup. I was just spazzing out and half in shock... Sadly everyone but Teemu was there... I've met nearly every player worth meeting in the last 15 years besides Teemu....

Anyways that's one of my favorite stories... My fandom has been rewarded countless times over and over again. I hope one day everyone that deserves a story has one to tell in the near future.

Just a reminder to some of my haters on these boards that try to put me down, you ain't got •••• on me!!!!!

I have stories I can tell and ones I can't having done work in the past for the team. My favorite story was meeting George Parros at an Oggi's firefighter charity event. He was supposed to only be there for 30 min. and we were waiting and donated a good bit to the charity. In true George fashion, he stayed and walked to every table for a full hour longer. I was at the last table with my mother and my fathers Parros' Jersey. He came around the corner and asked if we waited for him. We pulled out the jersey and said we knew he would be busy and we wanted to really help the charity. He sat down at our table signed every Duck themed item we had and put a nice little message on the jersey. We talked a few things for 10 min or so. Was just the best guy to talk to, we offered to buy beers and he declined saying he was trying to be in shape.

Interesting to hear nice things about Brown. I didn`t had any opinion on him but he seriously never had my attention in a bad/douchy way.
And even though he was small, he still was able to play big  Hudler is not the biggest of players but he just got destroyed here. Hudler didn`t expected this though.

What was Pronger like when you meet him? I always giggle about his nasty smile at the 1:00 of this video
