Greene has been by far our best defenseman at 5on5 through 2 games. No one else is even close.

Edit: Posting this again.

Makes sense. When the coach apparently just tells the players "go out there and do what you think seems right", the more experienced player should have an advantage.

Severely disappointed with how this season has started. There is really no excuse for how terrible everyone has looked. We don't play until Wednesday, we'll see if Hynes tries to actually fix this shit by then.

Wood doesn't belong on this team. There, I said it. He doesn’t generate enough on his bursts up the ice to justify ruining every single offensive zone shift with his horrendous decisions and horrible puck possession. He drags his linemates down.

It gets really tough. We're being fed to Philly for their home opener. How long is the sting from blowing that 4-0 lead going to last? Where is the mental toughness?

We have the horses to play something that isn’t this.

Yeah, that was really only a comment about the coaching staff. We have a good team. I have all the confidence that this roster could make the playoffs with even an average coach.

I actually can't believe this is Hynes FIFTH season behind the bench. And he got an extension last season lol.

Someone else said this in the game thread, but I'd seriously give him a 10 game leash. Enough is enough. There are players on this team. Do something.

okay @Jets012 , What does THIS MEAN (by you)?

New Jersey Devils @ Buffalo Sabres, 2019-10-05

You said "Those Bratt and Hughes numbers. Yikes"

I said I couldn't read that crap.

What do those numbers mean?
I posted an image of the on-ice graph on the first page. Hughes and Bratt were completely caved in. As was everyone below Severson on that graph really. I'll say this for Severson, he was no where near as bad as last night despite having some gaffs.

I'm kind of at a loss for words at the moment.

WTF happened in the last 24 hours? To think we had a 4-0 lead at one point last night.

What do you even say about all of this?

Only thing I will say is :

WAKE ME WHEN THE DEVILS WIN A GODDAMN GAME!:mad::mad::mad:

I'm DVR'ing the games going forward from now on, and only watching the wins (few as they might be) and ignoring the losses.

Less stressful that way.

By the list Severson is the 2nd best....

Can someone please explain the system we are currently playing to me please?

Like I said, it's middle school gym class floor hockey. Every now and then the gym teacher yells at someone to try harder or stop screwing around. Otherwise they just sit there until the bell rings.

Hynes is a problem. It’s only 2 games this season, but it’s been 5 seasons of the same issues the team has shown. He’s got a garbage system and has no clue how to make adjustments. Or he tinkers with lines while the team is winning, but doesn’t really tinker with lines when the team is losing and getting destroyed in possession. And he leaves the worst defensive pairing together after how bad they were last night and when he benched them for the rest of the third, showing he knows they were a problem.

Was out tonight just got home, guess I'll be skipping the replay on this one

Hynes must have gotten one of those fancy electric heated seats this summer

Your avy now takes on a whole new meaning :

I think Hynes is trying to find his balls but can't 'cause he has none.

I have played pick up hockey with more structure than this.
