Luke Richardson deserves a LOT of credit, for his work with all the young guys from Bingo. Ceci and players like him owe him a lot for making them into the players they are.

Karlsson's recovery; Turris & MacArthur coming out.

Hoffman, Stone, Ceci show they belong
DaCosta & Pageau are potentially there
Lazar, Claesson & Wikstrand are coming along just fine

This is the season to send off Spezza, Neil, Michalek, Phillips & co for good prospects and 2015 picks, bring up the kids into the mix, get the high 1st pick (or two of them) and then roll it all out for 2016 - heading toward the Sesquicentennial playoffs here in Ottawa

Hmm, no wonder they have as much chemistry as they do! LOL

Ottawa
1. Turris - MacArthur chemistry
2. Karlsson looking like Karlsson (when he wants)
3. Spezza finding his groove
4. Getting Hemsky cheap... let alone him clicking with Spezza
5. Call ups performing admirably (which leads to the next point)
6. Luke Richardson and his development team
7. Lazar continuing to dominate on every stage in any situation
8. Minor league goaltending - Hammond, Lawson, Brassard, Drieger, Hogberg

1. Turris, MacArthur & Ryan chemistry
2. Hemsky - chemistry with Spezza & Michalek
3. Ceci - coming into his own so early
4. Smith & Zibanejad - seem to be getting better
5. Stone - playing so well in Bingo when healthy & chemistry with Spezza
6. Bingo - having a good yr under Luke
7. Gryba - has had a much better end to his yr
8. Methot - has been one of the only defencemen to have a decent yr
9. Grant & Boroweicki - played well when he was given the opportunity to play
10. Ottawa - seem to be getting bigger as a team

Great year to learn. A lot of these players are in class right now. I think that they thought with all the stars plus the intense Bobby Ryan this season was going to be a cakewalk. Lesson learned.

Hey @SensChirp, mind if we borrow your #SensGood hashtag for a bit? Looking for inspiration for a #Sens ticket giveaway for tonight!

Nice. Senschirp steals my idea and now the Sens are giving him credit.

-Spezza doesn't train properly in the offseason

-Anderson was a one hit wonder

-Lehner is probably not close to what Bishop is

-Macarthur is great

-Cowen was a bad pick

-Phillips is done

-Melnyk is now running the team

edit: most of these arent positive, i read the title wrong, but it's what we learned from the season.

I honestly hadn't seen this thread till now but good on you for trying to get at some of the positives of this season and quite clearly, before I did.

I'm a regular around these parts but missed this thread. Sorry you weren't given proper credit for getting the idea started here on HF.

Cowen is looking slightly more mobile recently. I guess that's good. He's still horrifically slow and out of position most of the time, though.
