I would just settle for him being gone at this point. God the flyers keep finding new ways to bring despair and heartbreak into our lives, don't they?

Honestly he wouldnt be a big deal if he wasnt playing 17 minutes a game and/or playing LW.

Thank god Tampa decided to throw that freed up money at Girardi and Kunitz instead of someone like Dadonv or Radulov. That would be even worse.

Kunitz is a 1 year deal ($2M AAV) & Girardi is a 2 year deal ($3M AAV). The biggest thing is that both will be up when Kucherov’s next contract kicks in. So while the latter two are certainly better players they would hurt their flexibility going forward as both of their deals would run through Kucherov’s next deal. Dadonov is a 3 year deal ($4M AAV) & Radulov is a 5 year deal ($6.25M AAV). They need all the help they can get with cap relief around that time so even Dadonov would hurt even though it would just be that year.

Please stop joking around. Hextall isn't going to call anyone up.

Martel they can justify that he needs to prove it's a step forward and not a hot stretch. He is undersized, and they are probably anal about playing too many smaller guys at once, unless he can't be denied. My guess is we may not even see him this year but next year when waivers kick in. A Konecny/Weal/Giroux injury may be the best bet, and that's not what we want.

Lindblom they can justify that he started cold in the scoring and is back in a cold spell the last few games. They could re-evaluate him by Christmas or something to see the consistency they want.

Vecchione has no reason to be down there. He played NHL games last year, is the same age as Coots/Ghost, is above a p/pg in his brief stint, can play multiple positions and is a versatile player. He could perhaps help several lines depending. He should be up tomorrow, and they cannot justify it as far as I'm concerned beyond them testing the limits of sanity hoping Dale Weise turns into the player they imagined when they signed him. And April of last year! Who can forget April?
