People have mentioned that apparently PLD's powerplay numbers haven't been the greatest so I can only find it appropriate that one of his powerplay goals came against the Jets.

I'll take one of those over a one timer - slapper put up on a T on a power play any day.

PLD has actually outscored Laine at even strength and 5v5 the last two years. He is dramatically worse on the power play though.

Top level offensive generation skills, can play huge minutes and is very physical. I think it is entirely possible that we lose the trade on value, but are a much better team than yesterday.

Interesting to see what he does. Hope he makes up for that horrible trade. Not that he's a bad player, we should've gotten more in return.

Take a look at the trade rumours board for some good unbiased opinions on the trade. The majority of people seem to think Winnipeg got better today.

This by getting rid of two players who were never going to sign here long term anyway. I’m really excited for Dubois to join the team. He adds grit and two-way ability to the top six, while having a lot of skill as well.
