It's probably too late now, but the quality is pretty low (as you mention). Is it a file size thing or a color thing? I see a lot of different colors and gradients, which gifs are particularly bad at. If you reduce some of the colors or recycle a background you might end up with better final quality. Or remove some things like blurs/shadows/text glow.

Sometime later today I'm going to try the morphing thing. I'm sure it will look horrible and won't gif at all.
