I would think having all your big guns (minus Burke) there to make a 1 hour pitch means you really really want that player. How much more could they have done?

At the end of the day, you need to give Richards and his agent some space to make their decision

You do realize that he was away for a good reason. It wasn't like he was busy to taking a stroll at the park

And if you do remember, he was criticized for not being part of the pitch for Richards because of how badly the Leafs wanted him

Our GM was in Afghanistan.

The team that did sign him didn't send their GM either in case you think that is why Richards chose not to sign here.

Feel bad for Ranger, he is a solid D most of the time but his speed is AWFUL and he gets burned a lot of the time.
