Or at least that he assumes the right to take starts based ONLY on the relative quality of play between the two. No further bonus points to Rinne on Lifetime Achievement anymore.

Rinne might still be better. It was pretty close this year overall. I wouldn't automatically grant the "starter" title to either of them. But I would no longer give the "tie" to Rinne based on seniority either.
