Maupay and Ryan are back so they must have worked out their rumored confrontation.

Brighton are knocking on the door but they just cannot find the back of the net. Welbeck has come close a few times now .

Good half for BHA but they didn't finish. Could cost them in the 2nd half if Burnley manages to score for once.

It's been the same thing since Potter took over. We look great but just cannot seem to grab the goal...

If I'm a Brighton fan I'm really nervous right now. They've been playing brilliantly and are in 16th to show for it. And at some point their form is gonna hit a rut.

Frustration more than nervous. There has been a dry spell like this every season since promotion, so we are used to it..... The players have consistently shown they can find ways to get points plus we have a deep squad, especially when in comparison to the bottom 6 or so teams. So I'm not overly concerned.

It would be nice to have 11 points instead of 6 though...

Who has said since he signed with Newcastle that he should be played in the middle? I think there was a poster here saying that. :sarcasm:

Hint: it’s me. The answer is me.
So have I.

He was pressing well and tracking back to defend well all of last season. He dribbles and passes well enough to be press-resistant. His finishing just isn't on par for the EPL.

Nice one by Armstrong.

Southampton are in first place, at least until tomorrow.

Bruce reverting back to a 442 has been a very bad decision, he needs to go back to a 532/352 to avoid relegation. Newcastle simply won't be as good within that 442 system. They're in massive danger of relegation if he sticks with it, their players have been pressed off the park, and they face too many difficult situations they can't handle within that system, namely build-up & transition. Only saw the first half but this was pretty evident.
