What if he doesn't want to retire? Then you're stuck with an AAV of nearly 8m until he's 41.

As a Habs fan, the value is there but Pittsburgh will never trade Geno.

Pittsburgh's window is Malkin + Crosby, so you can bet that those two will retire Penguins.

Only thing that gets Malkin shipped out is if there is some sort of trade that Pittsburgh literally fleeces the other team (Think Doughty + Kopitar + Carter for Malkin + Letang + Hornqvist levels of stupid)
