I'm more hoping that it happens so Crosby gets a big lead in the scoring race and threads pop up about "Crosby at a 3.25 PPG pace, can he keep it up?"

I know for a fact that isn't going to happen. I'd be happy with 2 points from Sid tonight.

I think every team will play a defense first game , 3-2 game or something like that. Both teams are scared of the offense.

I think this is the year the Isles make good on their promise and become a perennial threat. The Isles and Lightning will be our biggest competition in the East moving forward.

Random things I want to see tonight:

-Fleury stand on his head. Not just "not play too bad" or "it wasn't his fault entirely", but actually be a rock. Maybe a game star.

-Crosby and Malkin go beast mode. 3+ point night for both guys.

-The PK actually function at better than 50% (exaggeration). It would be nice to see the PK keep the Isles 0 for tonight.

-Tighten up play in the defensive zone.

-Play like they're embarrassed about Thursdays effort and come out like they want this game for the entire 60 minutes.

-Craig Adams and Rob Scuderi coming to a mutual decision to retire simultaneously after tonight.

Of the items on my list, the last one would probably make me the happiest.
