The year he coached the Whalers he did pretty bad, but the team's record that year was similar to both before and after his tenure, so it probably wasn't solely his fault. The issue was that Pierre was pretty well-hated by the team, and the Whalers' GM fired him because of it. He's just too awkward.

If memory serves he interviewed for a GM job somewhere as recently as a few years ago, don't remember where though and obviously he didn't get it.

But if you ever need to know how many penalty minutes Joe Schmoe logged in his senior year on the highschool team then Pierre is your man!

If I recall he was linked to Montreal and has been bitter towards them since not getting it.
