Dahlin is pretty clearly the top guy imo if you’re starting a team. He has the potential to be the best defenseman in the NHL for this generation Then there’s a few of the forwards who will end up pretty close. Right now Matthews and Eichel have a bit of a lead over that next group but that can easily change.

Went with Dahlin because I believe he has generational upside. Marner is a beast as well but nowhere near the upside Dahlin has.


EDIT: Didn't even see Rantanen listed. Still take Dahlin but Rantanen makes this very close between the two.

I think he’ll move up the list by the end of the season. I agree he’s criminally underrated on here.

I would probably choose Dahlin, but you can't just give all credit to MacKinnon of what Rantanen is doing currently.
