I don't see the Suns hitting rock bottom soon either but eventually CP3 and KD will be gone and those picks in '27 and '29 could be valuable. Pretty much any first round pick can be useful to sweeten a trade. And we've seen in the space of one month how quickly things can change in the NBA. It's far and away the most volatile of the 4 pro sports leagues here. So no reason why Nets fans should be despondant over the Super Team that Wasn't. I'd rather be in their position than the Lakers.

Feels like in NBA picks are more valuable in trades than for actual drafting.
Unless we are speaking top5 picks.

In the NHL& NFL it’s very different with how much more talent you can find outside the top picks

Even though KD is still playing at a very high level right now, father time catches up to everyone. He won't be nearly as dominant during the latter portion of that contract for the Suns.

Ayton isn't going to be a Sun for much longer. That guy is 100% getting traded this summer. He hates the org and the coach.

The picks in 27 and 29 could be incredibly appealing for the Nets because there's a strong chance none of KD, Booker, and Paul are on the team as early as 2027. If Paul is retired and KD is regressing/gone, why would Booker want to stay if there's nothing else around him?

The Nets did well to ensure those picks are unprotected.

Booker is still 26y.

If they trade Ayton he’s not just going to get traded for nothing.
But as we see Lebron is still an impact player late in his career and Durant has never relied on his physical tools. He’s just an effective shooter and that should allow his game to decline ”prettier”

Not saying the Suns will be contenders for the next 5 years but hard to see them hit total rock bottom with new owners as well

Clippers suns 1st round would be sweet. Especially if Kawhi elevates his game again.

Real bummed about KD getting injured and being out 3 weeks, as I'm cheering for the Suns to win it all. Such a freak accident too with him landing bad during warmups.

Durant with a typical performance, 1-8 shooting in the 1st half. Most overrated player in the league. Suns fans are gonna be disappointed when they realize how awful he is. Especially come playoff time.
