I don't see the Suns hitting rock bottom soon either but eventually CP3 and KD will be gone and those picks in '27 and '29 could be valuable. Pretty much any first round pick can be useful to sweeten a trade. And we've seen in the space of one month how quickly things can change in the NBA. It's far and away the most volatile of the 4 pro sports leagues here. So no reason why Nets fans should be despondant over the Super Team that Wasn't. I'd rather be in their position than the Lakers.
Even though KD is still playing at a very high level right now, father time catches up to everyone. He won't be nearly as dominant during the latter portion of that contract for the Suns.
Ayton isn't going to be a Sun for much longer. That guy is 100% getting traded this summer. He hates the org and the coach.
The picks in 27 and 29 could be incredibly appealing for the Nets because there's a strong chance none of KD, Booker, and Paul are on the team as early as 2027. If Paul is retired and KD is regressing/gone, why would Booker want to stay if there's nothing else around him?
The Nets did well to ensure those picks are unprotected.
What time did tonight's game finish ????So how long before the Suns aren't a good enough team for him?
FTFYso trading away all your depth for oneguyoverrated diva with absolutely no leadership nor cluth factor isn't a good idea?
i'm shocked
It wasn't just depth. Bridges was already an elite 3 and D guy and now it looks like he may be more than that. That trade killed their chemistry.so trading away all your depth for one guy isn't a good idea?
i'm shocked
and to think they would've likely won it all if KD's shoe was just a tiny bit smallerSimmons is meh, but pretty good salvage for the Nets pulling the plug on the failed super team.
