Can someone explain to me why the city is so desperate to keep the Coyotes there? It blows my mind they are willing to spend another 25m to cover PART of the losses, just to keep them for another year. Hell, when the Sens built their arena, they had to build part of the damn highway. Thats how little support there was.

Yet COG is just bending over to keep them there. I mean, I cant imagine these people will be voted back in....will they?

Well, there are the requisite handful of people in the audience in Coyotes gear waiting to go all giddy and teary eyed at the prospect of being able to half fill the arena at bargain basement ticket prices when they hear their elected representatives will spend their tax dollars on subsidizing this loser of a franchise.

I am getting more convinced by the day egos and t.v. revenue are now the lone driving forces in keeping the Coyotes in Glendale. No offense, but its clear the fanbase in Phoenix hasn't really shown to any great degree any reason the team should stay there. And financially speaking, I don't think I need to reiterate then. This whole saga just defies any sort of logic.
